The VHCYAA Cougar Football program participates in The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL) which includes teams from Cary, Barrington, Lake Zurich, Antioch, Warren, Wauconda, Grayslake, LITH, Tri-Cities, Wilmont, Prairie Ridge, Oak Park, Libertyville, Prospect Heights, Crystal Lake, Plainfield, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Stateline, Woodstock, McHenry, Lake Villa, North Chicago, Vernon Hills, Grant, Round Lake, Zion, Waukegan, and Mundelein.

VHCYAA Cougar Football is open to all village residents, and the residents of any other town that does not already have a team in the TCYFL. Mundelein, Buffalo Grove and Libertyville are the closest towns that have teams in TCYFL.

Players are separated by five age & weight classes. After the first game players receive an additional 1/2 pound per week towards the maximum weight.

The top teams in each division will be seeded in a playoff system at the end of the regular season and play for a TCYFL Super Bowl Championship. Please visist the www.tcyfl.net web site for game results and standings.
