740 Corporate Woods Parkway Age Levels Date Times 4th & 5th Grades  October 23, 2010  5:30 - 7:30pm 4th & 5th Grades  October 24, 2010  6:00 - 8:00pm

We intend to have 2-3 teams at each level.  The 4th & 5th grade boys travel basketball try outs are early this year due to the early start of the North Suburban Basketball League for these age groups.  This league starts play on November 7th.  For more information about this league, you can visit www.eteamz.com/northsuburbanbasketball/

Try outs for boys in 6th through 8th grade will be scheduled for early November at a date/time and location to be determined.

August 15th, 2010 at VHAC Fields 1-4 Age Levels Times 9u, 11u, and 13u 12:00-2:30pm 10u, 12u and 14u   2:45-5:00pm

CALLBACK TRYOUT ONLY August 22nd, 2010 at VHAC Fields 1-4 Age Levels Times 10u, 12u and 14u   12:00-1:30pm 9u, 11u, and 13u 1:30-3:00pm

Players will be notified after the August 15th tryout if they need to came to the August 22nd tryout.

NEW IN 2011 - It is our goal to have two full time travel teams at each level (Blue and Grey) depending on the number of players at each level.

Indoor practices will be from January through March.  Outdoor practices and games start in April and will run through July.

The initial 2010 practice schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, August 10th

• Practice from 5:00 - 7:30pm
• T-Shirts, Shorts, Cleats & Water
• Tuesday only, the players must be dropped off at the back parking lot of VHCYAA office (740 Corporate Woods Parkway) for weigh-in and remaining equipment pick up.
• The players must be picked up at the VHAC football fields.

Wednesday, August 11th

• Practice from 5:30 - 7:30
• Shoulder Pads w/Mesh Shirt, Helmet w/Mouth Guard, Shorts, Cleats & Water
• From this day forward, the players must be dropped off and picked up at the VHAC football fields.

Thursday, August 12th

• Practice from 5:30 - 7:30
• Pads & equipment are at the coach's discretion.

Friday, August 13th

• Practice from 5:30 - 7:30
• Pads & equipment are at the coach's discretion.

Saturday, August 14th:

• Practice from 9:00 - 11:00 am

Monday, August 16th:

• Practice from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Teams should be selected by August 16th as which point team practice days and times will be determined by the head coach.

Note: No practices on Wednesday, September 14th due to the Hawthorn Cross Country Invitational.

Coming Fall 2010

VHCYAA will be starting devolpmental basketball for pre k and k. It will consist of mostly instruction with the last three weeks for games. We will also be starting a 1st grade and 2nd grade Interemdiate basketball league. This league will also consist of the first few weeks of instruction and clinics. Then the players will be broken up into teams for games. Score will be kept and there will be an end of the season round round tournament. Also, we will be starting a minor league basketball league for 3rd and 4th leagues. This league will be more competitive with games and practices. Score will be kept and there will be an end of the season tournament. More information will be posted in the coming days regarding registration and fees so stay tuned.
